Creating outdoor living.
The Challenge
To create an even finish from rough ground on a new property, incorporating clean outdoor living areas.
The Solution
The first task was to excavate the whole garden area of rubble and rough ground as left by the building company. This was a difficult task due to there being no access for machinery. We excavated approximately 18 ton of spoil manually. We then laid 600 x 600 mm riven buff slabs with charcoal paving edging. We built two patios, one outside the kitchen entrance and the other at the top of the garden to allow the occupants to take advantage of both morning and evening sun. The lawned areas required 12 ton of Cheshire topsoil and 90 sqms of lush turf through which we linked the patios via a meandering pathway.
