Rear Garden Landscaping Project
Showing just what can be achieved in a small area.

The Challenge

To take a small and tired garden and create a tranquil hideaway in a confined environment with a separate area perfect for social parties.

The Solution

The top area of this property was cleared of a tired block paving, which also featured a large raised border. We replaced the paving with a mellow coloured indian stone and installed subtle lighting on the curved perimeter wall, this created a great social area next to the house. This was accompanied by new decking with bespoke made posts and clear safety glass spindles which overlooked the garden’s lower level.

A gravel pathway meanders down sleeper steps edged with large rounded posts to create raised planter borders on one side, and a sleeper planter border to the other. At the bottom you reach the tranquil, chill-out area which also had subtle lighting installed. Only a few meters separate the two areas, yet a completely different ambiance has been created for both. The client was extremely happy with the results and it showed just what can be achieved in a small area.
