Rear Garden Landscaping and Construction Project
Designing a dog friendly garden.

The Challenge

Total excavation of a very large rear garden, made difficult due to limited access to diggers. An opportunity to design the perfect modern, low maintenance, dog friendly garden.

The Solution

We excavated the whole rear garden area from trees, shrubs, sheds, slabs and general debris which equated to 340 sq mtrs. We then removed hedges where necessary and installed 1.8m high fencing with concrete posts and rock face gravel boards, approximately 38 panels and 40 posts and gravel boards were used in total.

We built a two tier patio at the bottom of the garden, complete with steps and indian stone finish. Pathways lead the way to the house and another raised patio area we created. We used sleepers for the borders and raised planters of varying sizes and filled them with top soil ready for planting. All the remaining open ares were given a hardcore base, consolidated and then granite chippings were applied for a low maintenance, dog friendly finish.
